[ Having never needed an excuse to go visit Rita, Tyr usually takes his chances and drops by the house to find her, and aside from the fact he decided to carry a bag along with him this time, things weren't too much different. On the outside, at least. For Tyr, something about this day just felt different. like it should be special in some way that he couldn't quite determine yet.

And that meant he should surprise her, of course. Announcing himself was unnecessary. He could find her just as easily by checking every room until he found her. ]

[Nothing seems out of the ordinary to her. It feels like a pretty normal day, although she might admit it's missing something: she feels like seeing Tyr today. Well, she feels like seeing him almost all the time, so maybe that's normal, too.

And where else would Rita be but the study? She's sitting on the floor with books piled around and tinkering with something.]

[ Tyr wants to see Rita all the time, too, but he's accepted that as the usual, so it can't be that... Unless he wants to see her more today.

It's not something he dwells on, though. Maybe it's childish of him, but he tries to be as quiet as possible when he enters the room and closes the door behind him. He knows her well enough to know she probably wouldn't hear him if he said anything, seeing as her hands are busy with something, yet he still calls out to her in a whisper. ]

Hey, Rita.

Hm.

[It's a distracted hum that makes it obvious she's not responding to him, but thinking to herself. She's completely obvlivious to Tyr as she's caught up in her research.]

[ As always. For once, though, he doesn't want to just surprise her and make her shriek. He sets his bag and staff on the floor and steps quietly closer to her until he's right behind her.

And maybe she'd shriek anyway when he tugs at one of her earlobes. ]

Rita.

Ah-!

[It might not be a shriek, exactly, but she does cry out--and whirl around with hand clenched into a fist, though she manages to freeze when she sees that it's Tyr.]

Y-you?!

[ ...Well, that was sort of cute, so he guesses it was worth it. He tries to suppress a smirk as he plops down to sit behind her. ]

Forgot my name already?

[She flushes out of embarrassment, though she can't be angry with him.]

Of course I didn't. How long were you there, anyway?

I just got here. You should really pay more attention to the door if you think I could have been sneaking around here...

[ Though he does know the room well enough to sneak around pretty easily... ]

You can be sneaky all you want, as long as you let me know you're here.

[That totally makes sense to Rita, somehow...]

[ It doesn't to Tyr... ]

There's no point to being sneaky if you know I'm around.

[ But today is special - and sappy - so he wraps his arms around her waist. ]

But-

[She makes a little squeak, but easily relaxes in his embrace. With a slight blush, she continues being sappy right back-]

There's no point in you coming over if I don't get to see you.

[ He scoots a little closer until his chest is against her back and he can rest his chin against her shoulder. And hearing her say that makes a happy sort of blush come across his face as well. ]

Then what you really mean is that it's okay if we sneak around together.

[She smiles, leaning into him and turning her head enough to see his face.]

Yeah, I guess that is what I mean.

[ He likes this. He smiles back at her fondly. ]

We can do that any time...as long as you can be sneaky.

[Sitting like this makes her feel pretty happy. She barely even pretends to be indignant.]

Of course I can be sneaky when I want to.

[ He loves how happy she is. Maybe this is what makes the day special. He cuddles against her, still smiling, and just teases- ]

Are you gonna prove it?

Hm, maybe...

[She's ridiculously happy right now. And just to try and prove that sneakiness, she tries to reach around and tap him on the opposite shoulder to get him to glance away--it's kind of a stupid trick, but if he falls for it...!]
