[ Clinging to her hand is good enough for him. It's hard to stay calm when she's like this, though. He bites his lip and scoots a little closer to her and her embrace. ]

Thanks... You know that wasn't me... [ Maybe he still has some denial left in him, though his voice shakes. ] I wouldn't do any of that...and you're the last person I'd do that to...

I know. I know you're nothing like that, Tyr.

[She holds him close, keeping one hand on his chest while the other circles around him.]

[ That little affirmation makes him feel so much more relieved. He bows his head into Rita's to hide how miserable his face is. ]

Rita...

[ He loves her so much. ]

[She holds him tight, not sure what else to say, but just wanting to keep him here and comfort him however she can.]

[ She's the one who deserves to be comforted, he thinks, though he doesn't know how to. He squeezes her hand gently. ] I'm glad you're okay...

[She nods, stroking her hand up and down his back.] I am. I'm glad you're here. [Here with her, here as himself.]

I won't go anywhere... [ He relaxes a little, almost ready to sleep again. His head is pounding from the memories of the day that he wants them to forget. It's a promise when he says he won't leave her, though. ]

Good. Me neither. [She nuzzles her head into his, still stroking his back. It'd be good for him to relax after everything, if he can.]

[ He tilts his head up to give her room before cuddling back into hers. She should relax, too, and he feels a little bad that he can really almost fall asleep now.

Maybe things can just get better in time, he thinks. It wasn't really him, so...Yeah. His thumb strokes the back of her hand. ] Good...

[She holds him tight, breathing in, just focusing on how they're together right now. It'll be all right.]

[ Definitely all right. He shifts a little closer, slipping his foot over hers. Maybe it'll just be a dream later... ]

[A terrible nightmare...It'd be better if it could be that way, but Rita knows it isn't. She just huddles right up against him to put them in as much contact as possible.]

[ He wraps his other arm around her and clings to her. Tyr knows just as well that things won't disappear overnight. It's just a pipedream. ]

[But they're alive and they're together...She believes they'll get past it, like everything else that's happened.]
