[Now that the surprise is over, she ought to start accepting it...Except the awkward way Tyr says that makes her curious.]

[ He pushes himself up to a sitting position. ]

I didn't kill them if that's what you're assuming...

[She'd been afraid he had, but she still can't relax when he sounds so careless.]

[ He hesitates, but he has to remember it's Rita. He can tell her anything, and she'd find out if he didn't. ]

I made them disappear... You know... Made them unfindable and make it look like they left the City...

[Her feelings are somewhere between confusion and worry now. She doesn't get what he's saying, but it still alarms her.]

What do you mean, "unfindable"? Where are they?

Away. [ He keeps his voice level to try to calm her. ] You don't need to worry about them. Once they're really forgotten about, I can release them again...
