[ He walks closer then but stops in front of Yuri's bed. ]

I heard from Tommy you're in town, and thought I'd pay a visit. It doesn't seem like you're here for guild business from what Tommy told me.

Not when you're head over heels in love with your desk.

[He catches the pillow and throws it aside.]

I am- just a little job, though. Nothing that concerns you.

[He grabs the front of Flynn's uniform, tugging him down with a curling smirk.]

Just a little job, is it?

[ And he mirrors that smirk-- ]

That's almost a reason for me to be worried, Yuri.

[ And he almost leans down to kiss Yuri... almost, he stops himself. No, he has to speak with Yuri first, somehow. Though now wasn't the right time to actually bring it up. ]

Are you sure it isn't anything illegal? I'd rather not have Leblanc bursting into my office first thing tomorrow with a complaint regarding you.

[Yuri raises an eyebrow but doesn't push it, just scoots over and pulls Flynn down to sit next to him. He doesn't think much of it, though. Whether he did something or not, trying to get sexytimes with Flynn was like trying to get Rita to stop studying mana.

Hey, don't you have any faith in me? If it were illegal, I sure as hell wouldn't be telling you.

[A smirk.]

[ Flynn sits beside him and then crosses his arms. He has a doubtful look on his face. ]

I can name several times you "told" me about a job and it turned out to be less than savory.

[ So, alright, he has something important to tell you, but since this subject was brought up... he can get carried away too, with work, just like you can get carried away by sexytiems. ]

Yeah- that was my mistake. I won't be making it again.

[He laughs-- but then frowns when he gets That Feeling. The feeling when Flynn's about to say something serious- it's not obvious, but the way Flynn shifts, the way he holds himself. It all changes.

Yuri scoots around to lean against the wall, legs crossed on top of the sheets]

Something up?

[srslynotguy]

[ Yuri knows him well -- just like he knows Yuri well -- so once the question is dropped, Flynn doesn't make an effort to pretend nothing's wrong. Flynn sighs, and then rests his hands on his knees. ]

As a matter of fact... yes.

[ He avoids Yuri's eyes... ]

Uh...huh.

[Yuri raises an eyebrow, observing Flynn's every movement. There's a lot Flynn doesn't actually say that can be read in how he tenses up, his posture. He gets the feeling it's...serious.]

And are you going to tell me anytime soon?

[srslynotguy]

[ Flynn sighs again. He remembers how Yuri felt back then, when he'd ordered his knights occupy Nordopolica... He has a feeling Yuri won't take this revelation too well, especially considering the relationship they've eased back into... ]

I... that was the plan, Yuri.

[ Another pause. ]

Remember back at Aurnion, when we had our... reunion.

[ Probably blushes a little here. That's putting it lightly, they pulled an all-nighter then and he'd had to, embarrassingly, tell Sodia he was taking a day off on account of helping Yuri develop a new arte the whole night... ]

...You said I'd improved.

[vesperian]

Now how could I forget?

[blinks--]

I swear, if you say I got worse or anything--

No! It isn't like that!

[ Firm voice... and frown at you. ]

This is serious, Yuri. And... for the record, I'll forgive you-- whatever reaction you throw at me after this.

I understand I should have told you earlier...

You're stalling.

[Yuri scoots up closer again and peers into Flynn's eyes. Flynn's eyes could never lie.]

Tell me.

[srslynotguy]

I'm sorry for stalling.

[ Then pause, look into Yuri's eyes. ]

Yuri, the only reason I'd improved is because, while I was in the knights--

[ And it's unsaid but they definitely weren't screwing after Yuri left the knights... it just happened that way. Flynn was busy with work, Yuri was busy making trouble in the lower quarter... ]

I was- .... with someone else.

[ He pauses as he tries to get the "Who" out... leaving an open for Yuri to cut in ... ]

Okay.

[It stings a little, but they're not in some-- deep, meaningful relationship. One day Flynn's going to find someone he loves, someone he deserves. That's-- fine. Yuri's accepted that. He doesn't want Flynn to be attached to this- this weird relationship they have.]

Is that it?

[srslynotguy]

[ Typical Yuri, cutting in. Okay fine, it's sort of a trap! Flynn manages not to snark at Yuri for that, though. Time to drop the bomb. ]

I was with the Commandant.

[vesperian]

...Alexei?

[His expression hardens, frown deepening at the thought of- that disgusting bastard.]

No wonder you followed his orders so easily.

[He glares.]

[ The implication that he followed Alexei because he's in a relationship with him riles Flynn a bit... Yuri gets a frown! ]

I know how to separate work with pleasure, Yuri. I'm not telling you this now so you can make judgments about my actions then.

The fact that I was in a relationship with my superior then doesn't change the fact that I... genuinely believed he had good intentions for the Empire.

You do that a lot, don't you?

[Have too much faith in people...

Yuri stands, turning his back to Flynn. He trusts Flynn more than anyone in the world-- but he also hates Alexei more than anyone in the world.]

[srslynotguy]

[ Flynn already knows what Yuri means, but... he knows Yuri knows he believes in giving everyone a chance. There's no need to say anything. ]

I've been meaning to tell you earlier, but I wasn't sure how to bring it up.

[ Especially since, yes, you clearly hate the guy. ]

Or rather, I knew how you would react.

I-

[He sighs, shakes his head before turning to face Flynn. He stands in front of him, thoughtful.]

He's dead. There's nothing more to that.

[srslynotguy]

[ Frowns up at Yuri. ]

That's not all, Yuri, is it?

[ You can tell him everything. In fact, he'd rather you do. ]

[vesperian]

It just means I have to get him off your mind.

[A smirk as he settles himself right in FLynn's lap.]

[srslynotguy]

[ sdaklasdklasd;asd- HEY. HE WAS TRYING TO BE SERIOUS HERE, WHY ARE YOU ON HIS LAP--

Flynn is obviously taken by surprise... sort of. He's gotten used to Yuri using this as a cheap distraction.

[ He shifts uncomfortably but that just seems to get Yuri a better spot on his lap...... ]

Looks like it's already working.

[He smirks. His hands caress along Flynn's jawline before pulling him up for a kiss.]

[srslynotguy]

[ Flynn doesn't protest to that kiss, especially when Yuri's such a good kisser-- after that though, he breaks away, just enough to be able to mumble to Yuri- ]
