Family Trouble: continuing post from Klarth's journal!

[Weird... Ah, what was she to know? Despite having a strong personality ~~like her father, ehem~~, she was still a girl and more oblivious than the ones in town when it came to this type of thing. Perhaps not nearly as dense as Mint, however! Hearing the banging, Klarth frowned at Rita and walked to answer the door.]

Good, he's finally here. I'll simply ask him myself.

[Meaning make him admit to every act he's committed is what he really means and opened the door. He gave him the death stare with crossed arms.]

That's right this is about you.

[Oh man, Tyr's here now?! Rita doesn't know if that makes things worse or better, but she glances at him, then back at Klarth.]

There's nothing to ask about, Dad!

[ Somehow, Klarth was a lot more intimidating now... He hears Rita from inside, but he doesn't take his eyes away from Klarth. Just going to stand firm. ]

Are you going to ask me from the doorway or are you going to let me in?

Oh? That's quite the attitude.

[Klarth stepped to the side and gestured for him to go in.]

What is this about you dating my daughter? I have to admit, I'm a little surprised coming from you, Tyr. Haven't I emphasized enough how precious she is?

Hey!

[She was getting sick of being ignored back here! So she went up and jabbed Klarth in the shoulder.]

Would you cut it out, already?

[ Tyr doesn't even acknowledge that first remark and just enters the room, immediately standing beside Rita. ]

And you know how much she means to me! You're making it sound like I'm hurting her.

Ow! [His body jerked to her sudden hit and placed his hand over the area, rubbing it.]

[When he heard Tyr's response, he grumbled and drew closer putting his face in his. Eyebrow twitching as he sternly spoke.]

I'm making certain you're not! If you have nothing to hide, from top to bottom, list all the things you've both done, including hold hands! I'll be the one to judge!

[With Tyr beside her, Rita crossed her arms and gaped in disbelief. List everything?!]

We're not listing anything--I can judge for myself, you know!

[ Tyr keeps his arms stiff at his sides, not really comfortable enough with Klarth right now to do anything else. ]

That's right-- Rita's not a kid; we don't need to tell you what we do or justify it.

[His brain scrambled to the rebellion. SHE'S MY CHILD! CHILD FOREVER! Ahhh, where did he go wrong? Was this what people have been warning him about? His baby readying her pair of wings to soon leave the nest. He gave a forced smirk with a light hmph.]

What is yet another child barking about? Tell me that in 5 years. She's still young. Too young even for you. Until then it's my responsibility to make certain she doesn't get hurt.

[Klarth, you are the sappiest father...Rita can tolerate being a daddy's girl--and she usually likes it--but not right now.]

I am not-! Quit treating us like we're little kids!

[ Tyr bristles just from being called a child--it's a little thing, but it's still a sure-fire way to annoy him. ]

And I'm making certain she doesn't get hurt anyway! I'm not so young that I don't know how to take care of someone, and you should know that Rita's not that weak--in any way.

[He gave a little jump to Rita's opposition before recovering from the jab to answer Tyr.]

What makes you so certain? And I'm well aware that my daughter isn't weak by any means. However, she is capable of getting hurt. If this is a means to fool around for a bit...

[He darkly expressed. The summoner didn't even want to say what he would do to him, recalling a similar warning he gave Magnus.]

[She understands he cares and he's looking out for her--but she glowers at the suggestion, furious.]

Tyr wouldn't do that, and you know it! You're making way too big of a deal out of this.

[ It's a rare day when Rita is the most level-headed of the three of them, but Tyr can't just lay down and take that insult. He snaps back- ]

You should know it's not! Who do you think I am!?

[Indeed; He knows it's inevitable. Rita was going to follow her heart. But he wasn't one to back down so easily without a solid satisfying answer. He calmed down a bit though his words remained stern.]

Then why haven't I been informed of this relationship? Isn't it only proper to get a blessing from the father?

[Emphasizing who is more insulted.]

[Rita swears she's always level-headed...! But stubborn, she just responds with a simple-]

I just told you now.

[ Tyr is just irritated forever, and now he crosses his arms. ]

We're not getting married; there's nothing to bless. [ Right now? Tyr won't think much about that. ]

[His patience was running thin as well.]

And how long have you been seeing each other?

[His eyes darted back at Tyr. Is that all he was considering this to be!? Was he not considering marrying her? Taking advantage of their friendship and disregarding the fact that she was his daughter. It was even more so the right thing to do since he was his friend! He gave the expression of readying himself to punch him.]

Tyr...

Just a few days, okay?

[Rita doesn't think much about what Tyr says, because marriage means nothing to her.

But seeing Klarth's expression, Rita takes a step forward, glaring defiantly at him.]

Dad!

[ Tyr really wouldn't mind marrying Rita... But it's not part of his current set of plans. He stands his ground, squaring his shoulders. ]

Our relationship isn't going to change regardless of what you say. [ Or do... ] It's not something you can control.

[He backs down a little to seeing his daughter's glare, giving a defeated sigh. A few days...

He glanced at Tyr, now in a more solemn way. This wasn't how it was supposed to be... In truth, he would entrust Tyr more than anyone else in the world with her. He was more like a son to him than a friend. But this... This disrespect.]

[If Tyr wanted to, someday...Rita probably wouldn't say no to marriage. At the moment, though, she doesn't entirely get her father's train of thought. She just sees him as overreacting.

But she does calm down now that it doesn't look like they're going to get in a fight.]

We're happy like this. Isn't that all that matters?

[ Tyr didn't think he should feel bad, but part of him did anyway. He relaxes slightly and just keeps his eyes on Klarth. Rita said his thoughts exactly. ]

[~~Daddy wants love tooo! /sobs~~ He looked from one to the other and back. As long as she was happy... He went over to her and gently cradled her head while placing a soft kiss to her temple. It was difficult but he had to push his pride aside and softly asked.]

Is that.. how you truly feel?

[If she was happy then...]

D-Dad...

[~~Awww, Daddy will!! ;_;~~ This is kind of embarrassing! But she doesn't push him away, because she really does want him to understand and accept it.]
