All right, so, moving on...
[ With their homework done (first things first, have to boost his grades!), he pushed that notebook aside and pulled out their magic class's study guide.
Vetul flipped through their study guide, skimming for the best topics. They had been jumping around a lot with when it came to studying magic, but the order the spells were placed in their book was garbage, in his opinion. Besides, he learned magic from skimming through books and picking out the enchantments that he was most interested in first, and it worked out for him.
It just sucked that Yuri didn't really have the privilege to flip through books and pick what he liked best... They were moving on to perpetual enchantments next week, and Yuri's foundation was already seemed pretty shaky when it came to just temporary enchantments. He'd never catch up with the current material if he didn't work more on the basics. (The boring, boring basics...)
He finally stopped on the basic levitation enchantment. There was a little illustration of a ball floating over a surface, and a whole lot of theory written on the side. Smiling easily, Vetul tapped the page and turned it around to face Yuri. ]
How about this? You can even practice it when you're bored.

Date: 2019-05-13 02:46 pm (UTC)Yuri thought he might die of embarrassment at any moment. He was so worked up, that his already lackluster magic skills were even worse right now. The insides of his ears were blushing red all the way through, so he had to make an effort to keep them pulled back just to hide it.
Vetul said something, but he didn't quite hear it. Looking ahead at the page, he got the gist of it.]
Oh...y-yeah, I can do that.
three weeks later...
Date: 2019-06-07 04:10 pm (UTC)It was nice. Vetul liked it. Even if Yuri might be shy about the whole situation, Vetul himself saw no reason for him to be.
He took a cookie and gently placed it on a napkin in front of Yuri. ]
Okay, good. That's a good start. Try it with this. When you get good, you can even have a snack with your hands free.
