[ Even when it wasn't raining, the ground was damp and cold. Mud had a way of getting into everything, and "everything" wasn't much, when it came to their supplies. Foraging wasn't providing them with much of a return, either. The firewood was mostly damp, and discerning what was edible in the plant life wasn't without it's risks.

For the most part, Raine kept up her part in the struggle. Between the two of them, they traded off most of the physical work, unless it came to fishing, because she was having no part of that. She took care of most of the foraging while Genis cooked, something that was more difficult to trade off, to her dismay.

For a time, it had worked. For a time, they had managed, amidst their despair, though the weather change had more of an effect on Raine's mood than she wanted to admit. Her mind was a non-stop zone of worrying, as much as she tried to clamp down on that.

She approached their small camp, with the few things that she could find on that last venture. ]

It hasn't gone out yet...

[ His voice was flat and as dour as the weather. The last thing they needed was more rain. Sure, it was good for catching fish, but between the moisture soaking into his shoes and never seeming to have dry enough clothes to change into afterwards, he wondered if it was really worth it.

The answer was yes. Even if it was a pain, he couldn't let Raine get all their food while he just sat at camp and clung to the fire. Neither of them would ever have enough to eat if he did that...

He nudged the embers with a stick to help the fire grow before he finally looked up at his sister. ]

What about you? Did you find anything good?
