[While Rita was too flippant about it...She silently gets up and grabs a towel to dry the plate, thinking while she does so.

[ They did learn they could be honest... But he's still surprised when she asks. He looks over at her curiously before looking back at the plate he's cleaning. ]

I wish you and Ted would get along... [ Which sounds random, so he continues. ] When you were talking earlier, I thought he'd be the type of person you'd target...

[Then he should just get back in okay!!]

[She looks over at him, because--she doesn't like Ted, but she at least understands he's important to Tyr--this now makes a lot of sense. So she admits-] I wasn't really thinking of anyone specifically...

[ Some of the tension eases from his shoulders when she says that. ] I didn't think you were... It was just something I thought about.

[W-well...he should just get back in bed so she can show him that she can!!]

[She supposes Tyr had a good reason to be irritated with her...since it's the sort of thing she wouldn't think twice about if Ted really did annoy her that much.

Maybe she should be rethinking that...] Well...I won't use him for target practice or anything.

[ He will!! She better be the best blanket she can be! ]

[ It's the sort of thing he doesn't think he should believe about her - that she'd hurt his friend - but he can't pretend her violent streak doesn't exist.

He just passes her the other dish. ] I'll make sure he doesn't use you for target practice either.

[Huff, good! Just watch!! She'll drape all over him like a good one.

It's not like Rita's ever done much to control it, either--so he'd have a reason to be angry with her.

She takes the dish and wipes it off, stacking it with the other one, and--with a bit of conscious effort--curbs her sarcasm as she asks-] With what?

[ And he'll hog her and wrap his arms around her like she is!

He was almost expecting a snarky reply, so when she's serious, he doesn't know if he should answer.

...It doesn't hurt to tell her, though. ] He uses a bow and arrows.

[And they'll get tangled up together just like that!

...It's really hard for her to not be snarky, but she's definitely not going to mess this up! Now if only she could think of something to say that's not obnoxious...] Oh.

...Does he use a rune?

If only she thought of something less awkward. He takes a little breath, but he can honestly say: ] No, he usually just stick to using his weapon...

And hasn't any idea how awkward that question is, so she continues right on, thinking of how Tyr seems to spar just with Riou.] So I guess you can't really spar against someone using arrows, huh?

This is a better subject. ] No-- But he can use other weapons, too. He's actually pretty good with a staff.

While Rita is completely oblivious...But she's also a little surprised by that.] Really? So you two practice together?

We could... We used to back home before, but I don't have any extra training staves for him to use...

Huh? It can't be that hard to find an extra stick, can it?

[Feeling like they're on better ground again, she makes a slight smirk.] That's a pretty long time to not be bothered.

[ ...it has been a long time, hasn't it... He shrugs. ] We have other things we can do--I haven't bothered teaching you how to use a staff yet, either.

[ Death? Nature?? Nah, it's cuddling time. ]

[ This conversation has just reminded Tyr that he wants to spar with Ted... ] I don't think you'd be bad at using one... [ But he wasn't really. ]

[Huff who cares about all that other stuff when they're busy cuddling?

[They'll have to find Ted a stick...Rita imagines it for a moment, then shrugs.] I don't know...It's not as good for magic as my sash, and I'm pretty good with a whip...

[ Has to be another blacksmith... That answer is good enough for him. ] If you say so...

...Actually, I haven't see you use your whip that much. [ And he's curious. ]

[Somewhere around here...] Well, it's just a backup. I'd much rather use my magic if I'm gonna fight anything. [And it's not like her magic would ever be disabled or anything!]
