[ He opens his mouth to start explaining before he thinks better of it. Relaxing a little... ] It doesn't matter if you don't know...

[Yes! Which they probably will soon...But they can still cuddle after that.]

[Rita frowns and grumbles a bit, but decides to stop arguing.] I don't need practice, anyway.

[ That's right. Cuddling is fun anyway. As long as no-one gets kicked. ]

[ It still leaves Tyr a little irritated. He stands up and takes their plates. ] It's too late in the year to practice even if you did...

[Yes~ Rita will do her best not to kick Tyr out of bed...]

[And it makes her feel a bit sulky in return] The cold doesn't bother me that much.

[ He'd take the covers with him if she did... ]

[ He keeps talking to her as he cleans them off. ] You have the entire beach to practice on; you don't really need to go far anyway.

[Now that's just mean!]

[Rita feels like she's messed something up, but she isn't even sure what.] If I needed the practice.

...You want some help?

[ Nope!! This is the meaning of 'balanced'! ]

[ Tyr isn't totally sure how it got this way either...other than just being too sensitive about Ted.

He doesn't stop what he's doing as he responds. ] You can help dry them off again. [ And he lays one wet plate on the counter. ]

[Huff she says that balance is her having a blanket! :<]

[While Rita was too flippant about it...She silently gets up and grabs a towel to dry the plate, thinking while she does so.

...Well, talking didn't hurt them earlier, so...] --Actually, it does matter. Tell me.

[ They did learn they could be honest... But he's still surprised when she asks. He looks over at her curiously before looking back at the plate he's cleaning. ]

I wish you and Ted would get along... [ Which sounds random, so he continues. ] When you were talking earlier, I thought he'd be the type of person you'd target...

[Then he should just get back in okay!!]

[She looks over at him, because--she doesn't like Ted, but she at least understands he's important to Tyr--this now makes a lot of sense. So she admits-] I wasn't really thinking of anyone specifically...

[ She should be a better blanket!! ]

[ Some of the tension eases from his shoulders when she says that. ] I didn't think you were... It was just something I thought about.

[W-well...he should just get back in bed so she can show him that she can!!]

[She supposes Tyr had a good reason to be irritated with her...since it's the sort of thing she wouldn't think twice about if Ted really did annoy her that much.

Maybe she should be rethinking that...] Well...I won't use him for target practice or anything.

[ He will!! She better be the best blanket she can be! ]

[ It's the sort of thing he doesn't think he should believe about her - that she'd hurt his friend - but he can't pretend her violent streak doesn't exist.

He just passes her the other dish. ] I'll make sure he doesn't use you for target practice either.

[Huff, good! Just watch!! She'll drape all over him like a good one.

It's not like Rita's ever done much to control it, either--so he'd have a reason to be angry with her.

She takes the dish and wipes it off, stacking it with the other one, and--with a bit of conscious effort--curbs her sarcasm as she asks-] With what?

[ And he'll hog her and wrap his arms around her like she is!

He was almost expecting a snarky reply, so when she's serious, he doesn't know if he should answer.

...It doesn't hurt to tell her, though. ] He uses a bow and arrows.

[And they'll get tangled up together just like that!

...It's really hard for her to not be snarky, but she's definitely not going to mess this up! Now if only she could think of something to say that's not obnoxious...] Oh.
