How? Well, you're here, the Wind Master is here, there's more than enough food and wine to go around, and all the heavenly officials he would normally do this with aren't around. All of them had some excuse or reason not to come, but you?

You just happened to come in here all by yourself, and isn't it more fun to drink with others than by yourself? Shi Qingxuan thinks so, and surely others would too!

So for no other reason, you're being beckoned inside a private room by a slender hand and smiling face. ]

Fellow cultivator, did you come here on your own? Why don't we keep each other company?

[ His brother would reprimand him for all this, but he isn't here right now! ]

[ Wei Wuxian did, indeed, come here alone! Perhaps, a bit unintentionally. For if he could, really, he'd certainly bring a certain Lan Sect cultivator with him wherever he could. But if he might've been upset at the fact that he'd inadvertently lost his Lan Zhan on his way to here that was admittedly replaced by delight at the wide variety of foods and alcohol spread before him. ]

Certainly! Drinking with company always makes the drink taste better!

[ Good, this cultivator looked like the type to just enjoy himself- which is just what he wanted! Hopefully he was also the type to enjoy a large amount of food. This spread must have cost a fair amount for someone who was on his own. There were all kinds of meat and vegetable dishes, soup, and the wine? They could each have a few jars just to themselves.

Shi Qingxuan smiled and returned to his seat, sitting up properly and already pouring a cup of wine for his new mortal companion. ]

And food is always more delicious between friends.

[ And now he's pouring himself a cup. ]

[ Wei Wuxian hummed in agreement, sitting himself too. His mouth was practically watering at the prospect drinking this new alcohol. It looked- and smelled- good. It was no Emperor's Smile, he recognized as much from the scent, but he knew expensive liquor when he smelt it. And this... this was most certainly good stuff.

He rubbed his hands. ]

I suppose it's time we made friends with each other, huh? I'm Wei Ying, common name Wei Wuxian.

Lord Wei. [ He'll go with that name for now. ] My name is Shi Qingxuan, Wind Master Qingxuan.

[ Usually he wouldn't say his title when he was in the mortal world, but this was different. For one, he felt like this guy probably won't take him seriously...

He raised his cup up. ]

Let's toast to a long friendship and get this started! The food is going to get cold!

[ Wei Wuxian grins. He's not at all fazed by the title. Nothing like a cool name to make yourself sound grand. He though about introducing himself as the Yiling Patriarch to match... but decided instead his mouth was better used to sampling the food before it got cold.

Fortunately for him, some of the dishes were flaming red. ]

[ Shi Qingxuan downed his cup and went ahead and poured another before getting himself some food. ]

Then those dishes are just for you, Lord Wei. Though if you end up hurting yourself on them, don't blame me!

Who's hurting themselves on good food? Not me, certainly!

[ Wei Wuxian made a show of patting his belly - that's where all that yummy spicy food was going down to! ]

Not a fan of spicy food?

[ All this food was well-prepared, just for the palettes of heavenly officials, so they wouldn't make anyone sick, but that didn't mean he couldn't tease him a little!

He took a bowl of soup in his hands, shrugging. ]

I like it, but it's not my favorite. Those were for someone else, but they couldn't make it.

Someone else? Sounds like we'd get along. With their good taste in food and all!

[ He sighs, looking off. If they came...
