Mithos response was only a casual, "Yes, I'll get you another one soon--a better one, even! So you don't have to worry. Nobody will hurt you here in the meantime." Certainly, without an Exsphere, he couldn't be as strong. However, as Mithos promised, no harm would befall him here. There were no humans or monsters to threaten him, and even if there were, he would protect Genis.
So there was no issue, really.
He opened his fist to briefly inspect his work. The Exsphere had broken into a similar number of pieces as Raine's had, and he nodded with satisfaction. "Good, this will work. Now let's stabilize it the same way as your sister," he instructed cheerfully.
