That actually was a relief. As the enter, Genis takes in the area around them, trying to get a feel for it. The atmosphere feels oppressive, not wholly unlike the seals.

When he sees the portals, he can't help but remember his comparison to the Tower of Salvation. It might not be too different in the end. The fact that there was similarly familiar technology to Takakage was interesting, and possibly something to ask about another time.

For now, he files it away. He has his kendama in his hand, prepared to use it. Part of him's a little excited to actually be able to go all out with his magic again.
