His head had been pressed against the window as the train went along. The possibility of keeping himself there had been fairly good had he been 'alone.' He was able to be left unaware of the passing events and things could have been over then. But he was able to hear something and to feel the soft touch. Prior to opening his eyes, Ion was aware of the situation. With how it could be handled on his own it would only make him feel uneasy as of now simply because he wasn't alone.
Fuss wouldn't make a change which would have him sit up slowly as he did as his eyes fluttered open. Maybe making a commotion needed to be of use for one go as things couldn't be phrased as fair. Not for the person who woke him. But there they were and there they were heading. There was one of those times where nothing could be done but accepting it for the other was too difficult. But being outwardly upset wasn't going to be of use either.
He glanced out at the window to be greeted by something that felt more familiar than the current scenario. It wasn't as though he hadn't gone down that sort of path before but he was unable to recall the smell or the sensation. Everything had simply stopped, he thought. It was just nothing. What was happening right now was something that could possibly be considered worse.
But he would force himself to turn slightly against the seat to look at the person beside him. There was nothing of use that he could say no matter how much he meant it. They should have simply stayed where they were especially when the other person had been happy enough. What happened wasn't worth this person's own life and yet that sense came to him far too late. Apologising wasn't going to do them any good but he didn't mean for things to turn out that way.
