[And now he's off to work on that tunic, nearly ripping it off but only managing to tug it off quite roughly.]

Whatever gets this crap off you.

[ Flynn laughs at Yuri's attempts and then catches Yuri's hand, purposely entwining their fingers together a moment later... ]

Here, let me help you.

[ He grins at Yuri (in other words: Watch me, Yuri.) and then, with his free hand, expertly undoes whatever was holding his tunic together. He does this, after all, a lot: Late at night, when he has papers to review before bed on one hand, and has to remove his uniform with the other... ]

Like I said- whatever gets it off you.

[Yuri pulls him in for a kiss, already pressing close against that warm, warm skin.]

Mmm.

[ Flynn moans a bit as he kisses back. He runs a hand on Yuri's back and then lets it come to rest just above Yuri's ass. ]

[He quickly sheds his own top, hissing low at the feel of skin on skin.]

At least tell me I'm a better kisser.

[He breaks away, grinning into the kisses he presses against Flynn's neck.]

[ Flynn automatically frowns at that and pushes Yuri away so his friend could see that frown. He'd refrained from making comparisons, but Yuri wanted them? ]

Yuri...

[ He doesn't answer, but Yuri could probably read it off him just from his response. Which was embarrassing. Alexei never kissed. There was nothing to compare with Yuri in that respect. ]

Just curious-

[And he tries to shove Flynn back on the bed, a devious look in his eyes.]

I'm sorry, Yuri. I don't kiss and tell.

[ Flynn turns his head to the side and doesn't give Yuri an answer. ]

Good- just think of me. Only me while we can.

[His voice becomes strangely low, a bit thoughtful as he scrapes his teeth against Flynn's collarbone.]

[ Flynn definitely likes the feel of Yuri's teeth on his skin, likes the way it almost tickles bit makes him shiver a bit instead. But. He also knows that tone-- Sighing, and short of rolling his eyes, Flynn pushes Yuri away and off him. Then, with his hands on Yuri's shoulders, frowns at him, ]

Yuri, I know that tone.

[ To Flynn, that's the 'I'm curious and will probably bring this up sometime during sex again and it'll be more annoying than the usual during-sex talk I usually do because I'm doing it while you're most compliant' tone. ]

The stay-still-while-I-kiss-you tone?

[He smiles something small, knowing that Flynn can see right through his little act.]

Far from it.

Just ask if it bothers you so much.

[ Never mind that he said he doesn't kiss and tell... there are ways to get around that. ]

Nothing's bothering me.

[He sighs, running a hand through his hair.]

You can be with whoever you want, you know. This isn't- what we're doing isn't. It just isn't.

[ Flynn removes his hands from Yuri and closes his tunic. He gets a feeling they'll be doing more talking for now than sex. Just bring that up is enough indication.

It's not something they talk about, and not something they'll talk about tonight either. Even if Flynn wouldn't mind if they did, he knows... he knows it isn't the right time. The matter now is Alexei.

He pauses to think of what to say. This, in Flynn's mind, is as good as traversing through a minefield. ]

I'm bound by our promise to inform each other of anything official.

[ Flynn starts by reminding. ]

The matter with the former Commandant. It wasn't anything of the sort.

[ Though, he had to admit, it could be seen as a breach of their promise on his part. ]

So, what, he and I just replaced each other?

[He isn't judging- hey, it's Flynn's life, he can do whatever the hell he wants to. And it's-- not like Yuri wants this to be a thing. It's not like he wants this to be. But with Alexei-- is he the same as Alexei to Flynn?]

[ Flynn resis-- fails to resist the urge to sigh. He sighs.

He wants to make a sarcastic comment, just to get the point across that Alexei is very, very different from Yuri and no replacements could possibly happen... but he refrains from doing so.

He knows Yuri, and Flynn isn't angry enough to make that mistake right now. If he says that, Yuri will only spiral down into self-loathing. ]

Nobody replaced anybody, Yuri. We just... slept together.

I wasn't thinking of replacing you.

But if you did want to- you know I'm not stopping you.

[He's not sure what he wants anymore.]

[ Yuri is... transparent but not. Flynn likes to say he knows Yuri in and out, but there are times when he isn't sure if what he sees is right. And Flynn doesn't want to assume, not too much, not with matters like this...

He gives Yuri a look-- while he's thinking of what to say- so that when he finally opens his mouth he's prepared. ]

I don't replace people, Yuri.

[ He explains, but a part of him knows that whatever Yuri really means, that isn't the correct answer. It's enough, though: Enough for the matter concerning Alexei. ]

And you're not stopping me-- with anything. I'd know before it came to that.

You- did I almost-

[He only really gets this uncool around Flynn, damn it.]

He almost had you wrapped around his finger, you know.

Because I believed he was an upstanding knight, Yuri. The ideal by which all Imperial Knights should strive for!

[ He gives you a very annoyed look. He doesn't say it, but it should be running through Yuri's head by the look he's giving: It wasn't because I was sleeping with him like you think. ]

Maybe I want something. Else.

[He freezes, eyes widening.]

Actually, you know what. Forget it.

[Then he stands up to leave.]

[ Flynn finds himself sighing again. He doesn't bother to reach out to keep Yuri in place. He knows how to keep Yuri there. ]

Yuri.

[ It's a simple but firm tone and he knows it should be enough to pique Yuri's curiosity. ]

I thought it could be. With the former Commandant. But it was clear that... it wouldn't- couldn't be possible.

And it isn't only because Alexei wasn't interested in a proper relationship with me. It was-

[ He looks at Yuri. Between the two of them, Yuri had always been better at talking. ]

So you thought about him. Like that.

[His hand hovers over the doorknob.]

I admired him.

We were both Knights. At the very least, I thought that would mean there wouldn't be a high chance of us simply drifting apart because we didn't see each other often.

[ He looks away then, knows that if he looks at Yuri he'll just... yell. He trusts Yuri to listen even for a bit anyway. ]

When you left the Knights... [ He paused, and only then does he voice a thought he's had for a long time. ] ... you purposely avoided me, didn't you?
