[ Tyr's wandering around the square now and taking advantage of the lack of curses to look at the different stores. It's more or less just a leisurely walk, though. Eventually, he stops around building ten and posts to the network. ]

It was like this before a while ago, wasn't it? More than a week without any curses. [ He doesn't sound all that certain about it. ] It makes me wonder if the deities are saving their energy for something big to happen later...

...If they are, then I... [ He starts, but then thinks better of it. ] Nevermind.

[ And he turns the device off. ]

Or really bad... [ He puts the headphones over her head when they get over to the stand. ]

Or even both. [She places in a disc at random--"pop"--and then listens...

It starts out all right enough; there's a catchy beat like the last one, more of that synthesizer, and--then the actual singing starts, and Rita's expression is probably ridiculous as she listens to the high-pitched cutesy lyrics that seem to be all about feelings.]

[ He watches curious, but soon enough, his face matches hers. What is she thinking about?! And it was the music she liked, too. ] ...Like it?

[ ooc: Yeah~! :3 ]

...Hang on... [She...isn't even sure right now. Gonna skip this song and try a different one--oh, that's better. A more normal pitch, and...well, lots of feelings in the lyrics again, but that could be normal.] It's not horrible, but...

[Oh, here. She puts the headphones over Tyr's head now.]

[ He holds them over his ears to listen.

It sounds sort of like what they listened to before, he thinks. He's not totally sure about the lyrics, but... He offers her a little smile. ] It's not bad.

[ /cling ]

It's better than the first song, anyway. [But she has to admit that she agrees--it's not bad, and it might even be catchy.] You wanna try a different one?

You made the first song seemed pretty bad... [ Still, he's not sure... He keeps holding the headphones. ] Do you think this song is good enough to buy the entire disc for?

[ ♥♥♥ ]

Only if the rest of it's any good. Listen to the first one- [She reaches over and hits the back button so he can hear it too!]

[ He doesn't respond to that - just thinking they can't listen to every song on every disc - and just waits for the song to start. Immediately, it doesn't really sound bad. ] It's not that different from the first...

[ What's wrong with a girl singing about her sappy feelings in a high-pitched voice... ]

[ Yeah!! \o/ ]

I thought it was... [She just sorta blankfaces at him. It was weird to her! (Maybe because she wasn't sure what to expect from "pop".)]

[ Tyr thinks she's being weird herself. ] What about it? [ It's not exactly Tyr's tastes in music, especially since it's not totally danceable, but he doesn't hate it.

He just switches it off and takes off the headphones anyway. ]

It just...was! [Huff huff. But rather than argue about it, she puts that disc back in the case.] It's up to you if you want to keep it. Let's try something else now.

If you don't like it, we won't get it. I don't like it that much... [ She's being totally weird!! But they should drop it... ] Just put in another disc.

[ ♥!! ]

Okay, then how about this? [Huff, not weird!! But she will drop it, so in goes the "country" disc that Tyr picked up.]

[ Why aren't there any instruments from home on these? Or maybe they are and he just doesn't recognise them. He looks forward blankly as a man sings...he guesses it's a ballad...while playing a guitar. ] Can't really dance to it... It's sort of mellow.

[ ♥!! ]

[Rita watches with mild curiosity. Well, even if they can't dance to it, they don't have to completely dismiss it...] Is it something you could listen to?

[♥♥!! ;v;]

[ He's really not sure, so he continues stalling for a few more seconds and listening to the song. ] It's...not really what I had in mind... It's definitely not Toran's music.

[ After a moment, he slips them off. ] Do you want to listen?

[ X3 ♥♥~ ]

You'd probably have to try more to find something close... [She goes ahead and takes them, listening...huh.] Well, it's certainly mellower. But it's not bad, I guess...

[ He nods. ] Yeah... I didn't expect to find anything that easily, but I don't want to just settle for something... [ His voice drops a bit, and he doesn't bother saying that he's just disappointed. He ejects that disc and puts in the house one. ] Let's just keep going.

[ :D ♥♥~ also brb going back to my dorm. ]

...We'll keep looking. I don't think it'll be that easy- [Is she being encouraging?] --but we should find something you like if we go through them.

[She nods for him to go ahead and try out the one he put in.]

[:3 Okay! See you soon. o/]

[ He doesn't fully register that she isn't usually this encouraging, but if he thought of it, it is... He still smiles at her as he presses "play". ] You're right. It'll just take a little looking...

[ And something like this plays! ]

[ ♥ Thanks! And then I spent a bunch of time listening to TND music... ]

[Her encouragements tend to come out awkwardly...but either way, she's pretty glad that he seems encouraged to her!] And you get to hear all kinds of stuff while you look.

[Dance music! There's always synthesizers in this stuff, but Rita seems good with this one.] Hmm...Not bad. I don't get what houses have to do with it, but I could dance to this.

[♥! Ooh, I've never heard of this stuff...I need to listen to more music.]

[ That's probably exactly why the unusualness didn't strike him. She wasn't that awkward about it. And his spirits are much higher now. ] Yeah- And we might as well listen to as much as we can now. I haven't heard any of these songs before... [ Aside from bits on the radio when other people play it.

Oh, more dance music!! ] They have a lot of dance music here, huh...? [ Not that he's complaining. ] Maybe it's meant for house parties.

[ ♥~ Haha, I only know of it because my brother's friends used to listen to it! |D I wasn't sure how popular/common it was. ]

[For once! And she's definitely happy to see him brighter. She hands the headphones over to him so he can hear the music.] They're definitely not like anything I've heard on Terca Lumireis.

House parties? Actually, that might make sense...

[Ooh, I see! I have no idea, either. |D]

[ He puts them on to listen to it. It's not quite like the other CDs, but it's pretty similar... But definitely alien. ] We don't have anything like this in Toran either... Whatever they're playing is really popular somewhere, though.

It would make more sense than any of the other categories so far...
