[ Tyr's wandering around the square now and taking advantage of the lack of curses to look at the different stores. It's more or less just a leisurely walk, though. Eventually, he stops around building ten and posts to the network. ]

It was like this before a while ago, wasn't it? More than a week without any curses. [ He doesn't sound all that certain about it. ] It makes me wonder if the deities are saving their energy for something big to happen later...

...If they are, then I... [ He starts, but then thinks better of it. ] Nevermind.

[ And he turns the device off. ]

[ He nods as he comes to a stop with her. ] The clerk probably wouldn't understand "lazy music".

[ After that, he releases her hand. ] I guess we weren't jinxed, but... I'm feeling a little warm now anyway, so it's a good thing that was the last one...

[ He laughs at that. He can almost imagine Rita's way of making the clerk understand. ]

I know... I didn't really think of it until you did, though. Let me get changed before the jinx hits me late.

[Just maybe with a bit of threatening involved...Rita keeps smiling, though, and reaches for the sweater she tossed on the floor.]

[ He starts for his room anyway. He doesn't know how Rita can put her sweater back on after dancing like that. ]

Just for a minute. [ He calls from his room as he goes through his closet. Ladeda. ] You can get something to drink if you want to.

Right, right. [She answers him with a light tone, pretty happy. Maybe she'll make tea for both of them.]

[ They're far from being unhappy at the moment. He digs around and puts on a green t-shirt with some logo on the front that he actually did have to search for... And it feels so much better than his sweater! Which is folder under he the flat gift box wrapped in candycane-print paper that he also comes out with. ]

[As far as can be! It's a good day already. Rita's in the kitchen, and she comes out now with a tray she found and two cups of tea with sugar and milk. Her eyes are pretty much immediately drawn to the wrapped box as she sets the tray down on the table.]

What's this?

[ Moéderejanuary! Aww, she really did make drinks... He regards the tray for a just a second before looking back at her. ]

It's a gift. I got you one, too.

[ He holds it out to her. It was obviously wrapped by someone else with how neat it is. ]

It's not as great as that blastia, but...

[Hee, that's right! And Rita's expression lights up as she takes the gift from him. She doesn't even really register how neat the wrapping is.]

But it's for me. [And that pleases her quite a bit! She can't wait to find out what it is, so she starts tearing the paper off.]

That's right.

[ It comes off easily, too! He watches her face anxiously as she opens it, his mouth presses into a thin smile. But beneath the paper is just a pain, white box.

And beneath that is plain, white tissue paper.

But beneath that is a sweater dress! It's light blue with white stripes crossing over the skirt and bottom of the sleeves. If she pulled it out, it'd come to a few inches above her knees. Which Tyr figured was Rita's preferred length. ]

[Huff, so much packaging! Like it's all there to tease her. She rips through it quickly, pausing for a second when she sees the dress, and her face shows obvious interest. This changes to a smile as she picks up the garment and holds it up. Stripes! Rita likes stripes.]

Hey--you have pretty good taste, after all. [She looks up at Tyr with a slight smirk, and then she smiles more sincerely.] It's nice.

[ Packaging is just to tease her! But he's mostly glad that she likes it!! He doesn't know how much she likes stripes, but he figures she wears them enough that she shouldn't mind them.

Even if she was teasing him there, he still grins at the compliment. No-one ever tells him he has good taste! ]

I'm glad you like it... I thought it'd go with those stockings you got before, so... [ He got it for her! ]

[Because Tyr's a huge tease! And stripes are awesome.

And Rita...doesn't really get told she has good taste either, but she's very happy with this.]

Oh--yeah, you're right. You remember those. [She hadn't even thought of matching them with anything, but she does like the idea.] So now I'll have to wear them next time, huh?

[ Nodding! ] Yeah, I want to see how they look on your together. [ And he leans over to prepare his cup-! ] I actually just remembered those stockings when I saw the dress...

[She blinks, and then laughs.] That figures...
